(I should say that my Top 3 is indeed a Top 4, but i’m working on it)
The first in my top 3 list is the restaurant La Brocherie, (5 rue Fernand Dol). I’ve been there more than 6 times already and i can assure you the quality is still as good as the first day I crossed the main door. Nice atmosphere, big and quite space. Helpful staff.
You can eat fish or meat at the grill. The dishes are very elaborated. My favorite part is the chocolate truffle they give you with the receipt. Don’t worry, it won’t be as expensive as the restaurants in the city center.La Brocherie is my best option for any occasion.
In second place in my Top 3 List I put Café Le Verdun which is located in the Place Verdun. Without being a gastronomic restaurant it offers a notorious quality-prix relation and a high variety of dishes. We already know than in this region of France burgers belong even to the menus of the finest restaurants and this is not an exception. Another star dish are the huge and tasty salads.
In the third place, I actually, can’t decide! There are two restaurants competing. In both the prices are acceptable and they are really charming.I only have been once in each of them so I must go a second time in order to replace one or another or definitely make a Top 4 list.
I’m talking about Le Petit Verdot, 7 rue d’Entrecasteaux. It’s a wine bar. I recommend strongly the red wines but also the food. They are cooked with dedication and originality and they are quite tasty.
The other restaurant is Le Contrepoint, 15 rue Constantin. If you have a look on TripAdvisor you will notice it has a very good position in the list. Its speciality is Corsican food which is served by a couple of nice waiters in a gentle and well decorated place.
In Aix-en-Provence there are as many restaurants as days of the years so a small research is always welcome at the end of the meal.
